Switch to Orb.

Orb Browser brings over your Spaces, tabs, bookmarks, passwords and history from the browser you use now. It all happens on your Mac, in a few minutes.

  • Chrome
  • Arc
  • Safari
  • Firefox
  • Brave
  • Edge
  • Dia
  • Zen
  • Vivaldi
  • Opera

Every browser Orb imports from.

Orb finds the ones on your Mac and lists each of their profiles.

Built on Chromium

Chrome, including Beta, Dev and Canary, Chromium, Arc, Dia, Brave, Edge, Opera, Opera GX, Vivaldi and Helium.

Built on Firefox

Firefox, including Developer Edition and Nightly, Zen, LibreWolf, Waterfox and Floorp.

Safari

Apple’s browser, with its bookmarks, history, open tabs and passwords.

From Arc.

Your sidebar comes over the way you set it up.

Spaces

Each of your Arc Spaces becomes an Orb Space, with its pinned tabs, folders and Today tabs.

Favorites and the Archive

Your favorites, and the tabs Arc archived, come along too.

And the rest

Passwords, history, cookies and extensions, the same as from any Chromium browser below. Orb was built independently and contains no code or assets from Arc; it reads Arc’s files on your Mac to bring your setup over.

From Chrome, Dia, Brave, Edge and other Chromium browsers.

Orb runs on Chromium too, so nearly everything comes along.

Passwords, cards and addresses

For passwords and cards, macOS asks once before Orb can use the key that browser keeps in your Keychain.

Bookmarks and history

Every bookmark and folder, and the last 90 days of history.

Cookies

So most sites still know you’re signed in.

Extensions

Orb installs the same extensions from the Chrome Web Store. You pick which.

Open tabs

The tabs you have open right now land in Today.

Search engines and form entries

The search engines you added yourself, and what you typed into forms before.

From Firefox, Zen and other Firefox browsers.

A different engine, the same things you rely on.

Passwords and cards

If you set a Primary Password, Orb asks you for it.

Bookmarks and history

Every bookmark and folder, and the last 90 days of history.

Add-ons

Where an add-on has a Chrome Web Store version, Orb can install that one.

And the rest

Cookies, open tabs, addresses, search engines and form entries.

From Safari.

macOS protects Safari’s data, so it takes one extra step.

Bookmarks, history and open tabs

macOS asks you to turn on Full Disk Access for Orb first. Cookies come over with it too.

Passwords

Open the Passwords app and choose File › Export All Passwords… to Downloads or Desktop. Orb finds the file, imports it and then deletes it, unless you ask it to keep it.

What stays behind

Saved cards and form entries stay in Safari.

How it works.

A few clicks, all on your Mac.

  1. Open Orb

Setup offers to import the first time you open Orb. Any time after, choose Orb › Import from Another Browser…

  2. Pick what to bring

Choose the browser and profile, then what to bring over from it.

  3. Allow access

macOS asks before Orb can read passwords or Safari’s folders. Your old browser keeps everything, and nothing is sent to us.

Browser names on this page belong to their owners and are used only to say which browsers Orb can import from. Orb isn’t affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.

Bring your browser with you.

Orb is free for Macs with Apple silicon on macOS 14 or later.
